Theodore Art Books ships worldwide mainly with the Dutch carrier PostNL. They have a partnership with a local parcel carrier in each country of destination. In some cases, the shipment is provided by DPD or DHL. Depending on the experience I have with the transport companies in the different countries/regions. The express shipments are provided by DHL express.

You pay a part of the actual costs incurred for the shipment of your order. 

Shipments within the Netherlands are free of charge. The shipping costs for all other destinations depend on weight, volume and ship-to address. The actual costs are being calculated during the order process.

Once your order has been confirmed, it will be prepared for shipment. 

Orders within the Netherlands are delivered within 2 working days. (express shipments will be delivered the next working day) Within Europe a delivery time of 3 to 7 working days is maintained (express shipments take 1 to 3 working days) The US has a delivery time of approximately 2 weeks (express shipments take 2 to 4 working days)

Yes. You will receive a confirmation email with the tracking number, enabling you to check the status of your parcel’s delivery at any stage.

Yes. Once your order has been processed, an invoice will be to your email address.

A relatively large amount of time is spent and value is placed on packaging the books. Sturdy cardboard, filling material and tape are used. For long distances and large books, recycled bubble plastic is used to minimize the risk of any damage. However, I want to avoid an overabundance of cardboard and filling material. The packaging materials will therefore be used efficiently. Packaging material will be reused if possible and presentable.

The books that are presented at Theodore Art Books are actually in stock and immediately available. Very occasionally it happens, that despite of a regular check, titles might be missing although database information states that they are still in stock. In such rare cases you will of course be informed immediately.

If you are interested in an art book that is not on the website, you can always contact us by email. It is then investigated whether the book can still be delivered by Theodore Art Books. An indication of the price and delivery time will be given in advance. 

Nearly all books on the website are new. If there is minor damage or when it concerns an antiquarian copy, it will always be clearly described on the website.

Theodore Art Books also offers "so-called" collectibles. It usually involves books that are “out of print” or are scarce for other reasons (for example signed copies) In this case, the prices may be above the suggested retail price.

The opposite also happens: you will find titles with prices that are sometimes well below the recommended retail price of the publisher/supplier.

As a result, in addition to a diverse range of titles, you will also find a large variation in terms of pricing.

Because of changes in availability and demand the prices are sometimes adjusted accordingly.
